Who Can Enroll in Geneious Prime Training by GraphStats?

Geneious Prime training is designed for life science researchers at all levels. Whether you are a student encountering Geneious Prime for the first time or an experienced researcher looking to unlock advanced features, there is a module for you.

Who Is This Training For?

Molecular Biologists

Researchers working with DNA/RNA sequences, cloning, and plasmid manipulation who want to use Geneious Prime's cloning, primer design, and sequence annotation tools.

Geneticists

Scientists studying genetic variation, SNPs, haplotypes, and population genetics who want to leverage Geneious Prime's alignment and variant calling capabilities.

Bioinformaticians

Computational biologists who want to run NGS workflows, de novo assemblies, phylogenetic trees, and comparative genomics analyses within a GUI environment.

PhD Students and Postdocs

Early-career researchers who need to get productive with Geneious Prime quickly for their thesis or postdoctoral research project.

Lab Technicians and Core Facility Staff

Technical staff who support multiple researchers and need to be proficient in Geneious Prime across a variety of project types.

Clinical Researchers

Medical researchers using sequencing data for diagnostic or translational research who need a reliable, reproducible workflow.

Which Module Is Right for You?

Basic Module· For: Complete beginners to Geneious Prime

Covers the interface, importing sequences, basic alignment, primer design, and cloning workflows. No prior bioinformatics experience required.

Professional Module· For: Researchers with some bioinformatics background

Covers NGS pre-processing, variant calling, assembly, phylogenetics, and RNA-seq analysis. Participants should be familiar with sequencing data concepts.

Prerequisites

There are no hard prerequisites for the Basic module. A basic understanding of molecular biology concepts (DNA, RNA, proteins, sequencing) is helpful but not required.

For the Professional module, participants benefit from having some familiarity with sequencing data and NGS concepts. Experience with Geneious Prime's basic features (from the Basic module or self-study) is recommended.
